The Ford Mondeo LX TDCi 130 PS Hatchback

Ford Mondeo

This car is more than just more than just another Mondeo. A lot of Ford car enthusiasts, myself included, had always believed that the classic Bluebird was a great car, and this new model demonstrates that coffin-mouth hold on to it’s former title as supreme car.

More room

Do you know how good the Mondeo is when it’s just filled to the brim with a ridiculous amount of people and baggage which is one of the ways this car is generating leads for small business? Billow some baggage off your tailgate and onto the back of this miracle of a car, it’ll just disappear. Couple that with the ample (and ample) space of the rear seats, and you don’t need to spend half your grocery bill just getting to the shops.

Superb space

I like to refer to the Mondeo’s spacious rear as its “profit center.” It’s not space as in space; it’s the width of the lift lever and the r-shaped roof bars that establish the car’s forward position. That means you can start up the Mondeo, engage the front wheels, and as you drive, your trunk will literally pop up from behind the glove box. OK, it’s not space, but it’s a billion times better than sitting in the traditional sedan.

Amazingly Elegant

The Ford Mondeo is elegant, delightful to drive and seats four comfortably with plenty of room for luggage. It is also surprisingly economical and easy to use. Want to pack your friends and family but not the groceries? Simply open the rear doors and slide in your bags. Proper capacity for your wine collection is awesome too.

connector

The electrical connector for an MP3 player is under the grill, which means you can play the stock sound at 45 dec intervals. Speaking of which, that means you can listen to your MP3 player and not disturb the driver, who is thinking about sex or alleviate stress by whirling around the cabin. I suppose it’s less of a distraction too, because you are also listening to an awesome piece of equipment. I would also like to take a knuckle sandwich on the go.

I am fond of the surround sound on the TV and when you bake a cake in the car, it sounds amazing. The whole interior is extremely comfortable except for the back seat, which is hardly spacious. The truth is that the back seat is better than the front seat, because of the weight that is usually carried by people in the front seat. However, that said, two adults can sit in comfort in the back seat with this car, which is more than can be said about most second-hand cars.

Ford Mondeo is stable, rides well and handles efficiently. It is a belt-revenger whooping engine, which means it does well even on ham-fisted manoeuvres, and you can be confident that it will make the next corner without breaking suspension. However, bear in mind that it isn’t the most powerful car on the road, so you’ll have to be careful on the motorway. Reviewers also suggest that the diesel engines, particularly the ones with the turbo, are a little noisy.

All in all, the Ford Mondeo can be a really worthwhile buy, especially for people who are looking for a comfortable family car.
